## Feature: Windows SID Changer (inside Wittytool Disk Clone)

- Feature page: https://www.wittytool.com/disk-clone/windows-sid-changer
- Purpose: after cloning a disk or VM, all copies share the same Windows SID, which causes Active Directory trust failures, WSUS device duplication, MSDTC errors on cloned servers, and network sharing errors (including issues after the Windows 11 KB5065426 update). The SID Changer regenerates the SID, MachineGuid, Machine ID/Computer Name, WSUS Client ID, and MSDTC CID in one pass.
- Location in app: Tools > Change SID
- Non-destructive: does not reset user accounts, app licenses, or system settings; creates a system restore point before making changes
- Typical users: MSPs deploying one master image to multiple client machines, enterprise IT teams fixing domain trust errors after cloning, and admins managing cloned virtual machines at scale
